The Creative Arm of an Irish Medical Publisher
MedMedia Campaign is the creative and digital division of MedMedia Group, a medical publishing company founded in 1991 by journalists John Gibbons and Geraldine Meagan. The group’s history page says the Campaign agency was formally launched in 1995, and the business is based on Adelaide Street in Dún Laoghaire, County Dublin.
Healthcare is the whole business. The group publishes titles for Irish clinicians, including Forum for general practitioners, The World of Irish Nursing and Hospital Doctor of Ireland, and it has run consumer and professional health websites such as Irishhealth.com and Irishhealthpro.com. The agency team includes designers, programmers, creatives and account managers.
E-Detailing Apps, Veeva Work and Interactive Video
The agency lists six service areas: Concept & Brand Creation, Design & Production, Web & Mobile Development, Apps & e-detailing aids, Interactive Video and Event Management. Web work covers websites, apps, digital widgets and interactive email. The e-detailing work includes bespoke detailing apps with analytics and CRM integration, and the site names Veeva among the systems it works with.
Event support covers product launches, GP workshops and hospital team updates, including CPD applications and post-event reports. Interactive video adds HTML5 pop-ups such as PDFs and forms to new or existing videos.
Novartis, AbbVie and a 12-Year Lundbeck Relationship
The Campaign page names Novartis, AbbVie, Roche and Astellas as clients and carries testimonials from brand and marketing staff at Novartis Ireland, AbbVie, Sanofi Pasteur MSD, LEO Pharma, Lundbeck Ireland and Delcath Systems. One Lundbeck testimonial describes a relationship of more than 12 years.
Past web and app projects listed include sites for Beacon Hospital and Orthopaedics.ie, a Beacon Hospital app, a Pollen Alert app and the Child Immunisation Tracker, which the agency says won best educational app at the 2011 Appys. The group says it became Ireland’s first Veeva-certified digital agency in 2015 and reports more than 20 design, digital and creative awards since 2000.
Quotes are custom and are handled through named contacts on the Campaign page. Pharma buyers should ask how fees are split between creative, development and Veeva work, and what is charged for content updates after launch.
